"It was about a year ago that I moved to Arizona with my two Wheaten Terriers, SammieJake and Finney. For a period of about three months, I drove home daily, during my lunch hour, in order to feed my dogs and let them outside. Because I work a good distance from home, the extra commute became quite costly, time consuming, and tiresome. Deciding to entrust someone other than myself with the lives of my dogs, was extremely difficult for me. But within a few days of meeting Zoe and her daughter, I knew that I had made the right decision. I was quite impressed when  they came to my home to meet us, and to take notes, so that they would be well informed and familiar with SammieJake and Finney's medical history.    I was very fortunate to find someone as loving and as caring as Zoe. I cannot even begin to express my gratitude. I now refer to Zoe as my dog's Nanny, as she has become a very important part of our lives. When I leave for work, I am able to relax, as I know that the dogs will be well cared for. Zoe's visits are scheduled, but she is also there when I need her at the last minute. And when you talk about issues, I know that my dogs are extreme. SammieJake is terrified of storms, and does not like spending summers in Arizona, to say the least. I know that at the first sign of thunder or lightening, Zoe will call to make sure that I am home. And if I am not, she finds the time to drive to my home to give SammieJake his "calming" pills, and to stay with him until they begin to work. And she always leaves me notes so that I know, as soon as I come home, that everything is fine. I am now able to take vacations, because I know that my dogs are in good hands and do not have to stay in a kennel, which brings up other serious anxiety and issues, on my part as well as my dog's.   I have also come to rely upon Zoe's advice, as she has so much expertise and experience, working with animals. When SammieJake and Finney need special care,  Zoe is always willing and able to do what she can. She suggests visits to the Vet, when she thinks necessary, as well as special toys and products that have worked for them. And bringing in my mail and trash can is so much more than I expect, but so appreciated at the end of a long day. I have used the service twice now and will continue to use them and will recommend My Pets Pal to everyone I know." ~ Mindy Auerbach "I have never used pet sitters and my dogs are high maintenance! I usually board them when we were gone for extended periods to keep them safe and out of trouble, but I always felt uncomfortable leaving them and with 4 dogs and a cat, plus fish, it got pretty expensive. Also, they each have their own little "issues" - one jumps effortlessly over our 6 foot high block fence and scares the neighbors, so we can't leave the dog door open when we're gone. One of the others is jumpy and jittery and occassionally has separation anxiety-she needs a little extra attention. Another steals the others bones and fosters discontent if she gets bored. And, finally the chihuahua is young-he owns the house and occassionally has accidents or "marks" his territory if he isn't let out often enough. Our cat is 17 years old and loves attention. Needless to say, I was very nervous about bringing a pet sitter in and a little worried about whether someone else would be able to cope with my little pack of somewhat spoiled pets. Recently, we were out of town and had no options, so I searched online and found the very attractive and professional looking website of My Pets Pal. I called and talked to Zoe and felt immediately at ease with allowing her to take care of my pets. She and her daughter came to the house ahead of time and made friends with the pack. While we were gone, she was easily accessable by phone. She assessed the situation daily and made extra visits if she felt that was in my pets best interest. She gave them lots of attention and completed a daily log so I could see how they behaved and if she noticed any potential issues. She picked up the yard and cleaned up any accidents in the house. She even cut the nails of my "nervous nellie" --something I had trouble doing myself. On top of that, she watered plants and just basically took care of everything that needed taking care of when she made her visits. I was totally pleased with the service provided and would happily recommend My Pets Pal to anyone. In fact, I have already! I felt that Zoe and Cortney loved their job and really cared about my pets and did whatever it took to keep them happy, healthy and safe while I was gone. I will absolutely call them anytime I need a pet sitter. My pets were happy and peaceful when I returned home--no stress. In fact, I think I noticed a little disappointment when they realized it was us coming home instead of Zoe and Cortney coming to see them! I am so appreciative. I also enjoyed the little extras, like seeing my pets pictures on the website and the very nice card with a picture on it that Zoe sent afterwards. Thank you so much!
